Patti Engineering’s Management Delivers Entrepreneurial Presentation to Kettering University

Patti Engineering’s management team tapped to deliver entrepreneurial presentation to Kettering University faculty and students.

Kettering University in Flint, Michigan is the home of the country’s most advanced professional co-op program and a national leader in the preparation of innovators and entrepreneurs. Sam Hoff, Owner and President of Patti Engineering led the presentation, assisted by Dave Foster, Vice President of Engineering. Both Sam and Dave earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Kettering University. Notable tips included: find your passion, don’t fear failure, surround yourself with great people, do not be a “me too” company, “Cowboy Up”, and have an end game. Patti Engineering Opens Texas Office

Patti Engineering, Inc, headquartered in Auburn Hills, Michigan, has opened a new Austin, Texas office. This is a third location for the company.

“After a few visits to the state, we could see that Texas companies needed our control system integration services,” says Sam Hoff, Patti Engineering’s Owner and President. “We decided to dedicate our resources whole-heartedly by committing a full-time staff person to the region. Patti Engineering has been well-received and we’re very pleased to be in Texas.”

Steve Palmgren has been appointed the senior electrical engineer for the region. He has been the lead engineer on many of Patti Engineering’s major projects for the past eight

Obtain Licensing On Biometrics

 

Patti Engineering, Inc. and Law Enforcement Intelligent Devices, LLC (known as LEID Products) both have come to an agreement with Typhoon Industries regarding the patent infringement lawsuit relating to U.S. Patent Nos. 6,806,807 and 7,113,071.

 

“With the agreement, Patti Engineering and LEID Products are licensing the patent technology from Typhoon Industries for use in its Biometric Access Control System (BACS™),” says Sam Hoff, owner and president, Patti Engineering and president, LEID Products. “It’s been a relief to settle and remove any possible negative connotations brought about by the lawsuit.”

 

Jordan Cayne, owner, Typhoon Industries says, “We are happy to license the patents and are pleased to have reached an amicable agreement with Patti Engineering and LEID Products.”

 

The agreement was finalized last month.

Whalen appointed Patti Engineering’s New Business Development Manager

Patti Engineering Inc., a control systems integrator based in Auburn Hills, Michigan, has hired Georgia Whalen from North Andover, Massachusetts to lead its business development operations in the northeast region of the United States.  The territory’s operations will be managed from a new regional office in North Andover, Massachusetts.  Whalen brings with her more than two decades of sales and account management experience.

 

 

“Georgia has a tremendous track record for not only increasing sales,” says Sam Hoff, Patti Engineering’s Owner and President, “but also for developing partnerships that optimize budgets and create unique distribution channels.  We’re very pleased to have her leading our northeastern US operations.”

 

Prior to joining Patti Engineering, Whalen spent a number of years in the food industry having held positions at Kraft Foodservice, Carnation Foodservice and Devine and Devine Food Brokers.

 

Whalen earned her bachelor of science degree in business administration from Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania.

NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH SECURES ARMORY WITH PATENT-PENDING TECHNOLOGY

Detroit, MI — Auburn Hills, MI-based Law Enforcement Intelligent Devices, LLC (LEID) will be installing its locker system and patent-pending Biometric Access Control SystemTM (BACS) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ National Institutes of Health (NIH) based in Bethesda, MD. The locker system will support the NIH’s entire police force that is responsible for protecting our nation’s medical research agency. The project is expected to be completed in February 2010.
